  Van met his Gris Abuelita (Great Grandma) from Puerto Rico this weekend. She is in love with him!! She says he is sooooo cute because he looks just like her. Check out the pics!!

  Van is officially walking everywhere. We have to watch every move he makes. The other day he walked to the dog food. I'm not sure if he got any in him mouth, but he sure was proud of himself for being over there!!! He is all over the place!!!!!!!!!! Pray for Miguel and I...we need the prayers to keep up with him!! I'm starting to realize I'm really old!!

  Van went back to the doctor to re-check the spot on his back. He said everything is great. He said that since he has exzema that may cause Van to develop skin irritations more easily and that bugs are going to be a big problem for his skin.

  Hi everyone!! Van got a completely new antibiotic. His little baby tummy just couldn't handle the stronger stuff. He is doing great!! The spot on his back and all the other spots are almost gone. He goes tomorrow for a checkup, but I think that are going to say (once again!!) that he is PERFECT!!!

  It's offical....I can't take my eyes off him. He was playing on the floor in the living room and I went to use the restroom. When I got back....he was in the kitchen eating the dog's food!!! He thought it was funny when I asked him what he was doing!!!

  Van went back to the doctor for a checkup of his infection on his back. They changed him to a stronger antibiotic but it tasted and smelled horrible. He wouldn't take it. We mixed it with chocolate milk, his food, etc. He either refused to eat it for threw it up. I called the doctor back today to let him know that he wouldn't take it and he said that the cultures were back and it is a very serious bacterial infection. He said that our only options were to get the pharmacist to flavor it and see if Van takes it and if that doesn't work give him an injection, and if that doesn't work admit him to the hospital. Needless to say we opted to try the flavoring of the medicine first!! He still doesn't like and I have to sit on him to force it in his mouth, but he is not throwing it up!!! We will keep you posted!!

  Van went to the doctor today. He had a spot on his back that was spewing out puss...sounds gross??? It was!!! The doctor took a culture to see what it is and put Van on antibiotics. We go back in two days to see what the culture said. Wish Van luck!!

  WOW!! What a week...every day has flown by and now school is starting!!! Van went to his nine month doctor's appointment yesterday. Check out the new stats. She was amazed that he is walking. I don't think she really believed us when we told her!! She said he is perfect in every way...I could have told her that!! His hydroseal is gone and his umbicial cord hernia is almost gone. He is a perfect angel!!!
