Van started pre-school on Wednesday. He has been doing great and loves it. He didn't cry on Monday when we dropped him off. When we picked him up, he raved about how he loved school. The only complaint was that they don't let you take off your shoes at naptime (he didn't like that, but that is the least of my worries!!). On Thursday and Friday, he cried when we dropped him off, but by the time I got in the parking lot, I looked in the room through the window and he had already stopped. His favorite thing to do is paint. They have painted two times in three days!! He LOVES that part!! When I went to pick him up on Friday, he didn't see me walk in, but four little girls saw me and went to kiss him good-bye!! I'm not ready for all that yet!!! He loves his teacher, Ms. Tammy. She is very nice and very comforting. The aide in the class is Ms. Clarise, and she is very nice, too. She complimented him on how nice and polite he was. She said he always says "thank you" and shares and plays very well. I was soooo proud!!!!!! The hardest part of this whole experience isn't the school experience....it's dealing with the milk allergy. At the babysitter's house, she bought the soy milk and she just didn't really serve anything with milk in it. This place serves yogurt for snack every Wednesday, cheese and crackers for snack every Thursday, and there are various other times they have milk products!! I'm overwhelmed with the change because I am going to have to be constantly aware of what they are having so I can get ingredients to substitute!! Other than that, we have been very happy with the school and the teachers!!
